**Hello! My name is Kenny and I want to share my Rawhide journey! ****
**

At a young age, I was led down the wrong path and began making unhealthy choices.  I grew up in an abusive household and went to live with my grandparents when I was 7. I am now 16 years old and I have 3 younger sisters that look up to me.

Before coming to Rawhide, I felt a lot of anger and frustration. When I first got here, I was nervous. Therapy helped me learn how to breathe deeply and during my time here, I have learned to work through my anger.

I have taken part in culinary job training, had the opportunity to be an OT assistant and soon I will be joining our powerlifting team. I am most proud of myself for earning Student of the Month. I have learned through school, my biggest enjoyment at Rawhide, that I am a leader. I am productive in my education and do my best to learn as much as I can. I one day hope to go to college for engineering.

I know when I return home, I will have the confidence to keep my head up and work through the challenges I may face. I will remember the staff and students who helped me learn to trust myself and taught me to stay focused on my goals for my future.

Sincerely,

**Kenny**
