Hello! My name is Bryce and I would like to share a bit of my story. I’m 17 years old and from Port Washington. I have two sisters and am the middle child. Back at home, I was hanging out with the wrong crowd and often made poor choices. I was angry a lot and fought regularly with my dad. My parents knew I needed more help to get my life back on track. They knew I needed Rawhide. When I arrived at Rawhide, I had one goal: to do better for myself and my family. I was nervous about what was going to happen when I arrived. Once I settled in, I started focusing on myself and learned how to make healthier choices. What’s really made the most impact is the family therapy sessions I’ve had. We all began to open up and understand one another better. Two of my favorite things at Rawhide are the supportive staff and the opportunities to go on home visits and check in on my family. I believe that I earned Student of the Month because I stayed focused on my goals. I found a passion in automotive, which has inspired me to go to college for auto engineering. I officially go home in one month and the biggest motivation for me to complete this program has been to be a better person for my family, friends, and mainly myself. One thing that I learned about myself during my time here is that I am likeable. Thank you for supporting Rawhide so I could have the opportunity to change. Without the staff, I wouldn’t have learned how to make healthier choices. I gained self-respect and now realize what I’m capable of accomplishing. Sincerely, Bryce Share:
