Alan Loux came to Rawhide in 2017 and serves as President and CEO. He oversees the strategic direction, vision, and management of Rawhide’s programs and services.
He holds an undergraduate degree in business/economics from Wheaton College and an MBA in marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Alan brings extensive and diverse experience to the role, having held leadership roles in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. He began his career working in faith-based nonprofit organizations such as Prison Fellowship, a global ministry to those in prison, and Inter-Varsity, a global college campus ministry headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin where he served as Director of Marketing and Assistant to the President. Most recently, Loux served as Vice President, Global Marketing with JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company and leading global equipment manufacturer. Previously he served as Corporate Vice President – Marketing with Direct Supply, Inc. a leading healthcare distributor serving the nursing home and assisted living market based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He enjoyed a 19-year career with Kimberly-Clark Corporation, a leading global consumer products company based in Neenah, Wisconsin coming up through the brand management ranks to become Vice President – Marketing and General Manager.

Heather joined Rawhide in 2017 and serves as Chief Growth Officer. She is responsible for all development, fundraising, vehicle program operations, strategy, marketing, communications, and public relations activities for Rawhide.
Heather has degrees in social work and criminal justice with a minor in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She has received her Certified Fundraising Executive Certification (CFRE) and has also graduated from the Advanced Management and Executive Leadership Program at Clemson University.
Heather has worked in nonprofit leadership for more than 25 years. Prior to coming to Rawhide, Heather worked for ThedaCare Foundations as Executive Director. Earlier, she spent almost 15 years working for Boys and Clubs of America, at which she was Director of Operations, Vice President of Development & Marketing, and Executive Director.

Ben Berg joined Rawhide in 2020 as the Director of Finance and now serves as Chief Financial Officer. He leads the finance team and oversees accounting and finance operations for Rawhide, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, treasury management, audit, insurance, 401k, and credit card administration.
Ben earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance in 2011 and an MBA with a finance emphasis in 2016, both from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Prior to joining Rawhide, Ben progressed his career working in various financial planning and analysis roles at Schneider and US Venture.

Ed joined Rawhide in 2019 and serves as Chief Legal Officer. He is responsible for directing all legal activities to support Rawhide’s programs as well as leading special projects at the direction of the CEO.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ball State University and his Doctor of Law degree from McKinney School of Law (Indiana University, Indianapolis).
Ed has over 45 years of experience in legal and governance oversight. Prior to joining Rawhide, Ed served as Chief Legal Officer, Corporate Secretary and Board/Executive Team Member of a number of affiliated corporations including Appleton Coated LLC, Appleton Papers Inc. (“Appvion”), and Dixon Ticonderoga Company. Ed previously was a member of the legal staff of Johnson Controls, Inc. following work in the Milwaukee law office of von Briesen & Roper.

Joel Walker joined Rawhide in 2001 and serves as Chief Human Resource Officer. He oversees all human resource related activities at Rawhide including recruitment, legal compliance, employee relations, performance management, talent development, compensation, and benefits.
Joel earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Grace College in 2001. He holds certifications from both the Human Resources Certification Institute (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and the Society of Human Resource Management (Senior Certified Professional).
Prior to his role as Chief Human Resources Officer, Joel has served in various human resource roles since 2005, including leadership positions as Director of Human Resources and Recruitment & Employee Relations Manager.
Carissa Cain joined Rawhide in April 2021 as Quality Improvement Manager. She advanced to Senior Strategic Planning Manager in 2022 and is now the Director of Operations – Residential Program.
In this role, Carissa oversees quality and continuous improvement efforts, programming and training, and business operations of congregate care. She works closely with the leadership team to ensure each youth receives quality treatment while in care.
Carissa holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology, as well as an associate’s degree in educational interpreting for American Sign Language from Fox Valley Technical College. She has extensive training in trauma-informed care, nonviolent crisis intervention, and leadership management.
Carissa has worked in the nonprofit sector with at-risk youth and their families for over 15 years. She is passionate about serving communities facing barriers and currently volunteers her time at several local nonprofit agencies, including serving as a board member. Prior to Rawhide, Carissa was a Director of Operations at Rogers Behavioral Health. She has also worked at various mental health facilities and spent several years working for Milwaukee Public Schools.
David Drewek joined Rawhide in 2024 as the Director of Operations – Community Programs. In this role, David helps guide, support, and grow Rawhide’s outpatient and community-based services throughout Wisconsin. He collaborates with executive leadership, clinical specialists, and community partners to bring Rawhide’s mission-driven therapeutic services to youth and communities in need of transformational care.
David earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Cardinal Stritch University. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lawrence University in biology, psychology, and biomedical ethics.
Prior to joining Rawhide, David held leadership roles at several Wisconsin-based mental health agencies, including Sherman Counseling, Rogers Memorial Hospital, and Froedtert Health. He has served as an operational leader for clinical programs in behavioral health care, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, individual and family therapy, and community engagement.

Brendan Ganser joined Rawhide in 1990 and currently serves as Director of Facilities. He oversees the maintenance, project planning and design of Rawhide’s facilities as well as the food service and community service programs.
In the evenings and on weekends, he serves as a Pastor of Providence Bible Church in Poy Sippi, Wisconsin.
Brendan has more than 40 years of experience in facilities and maintenance. Over the years, Brendan has held positions at Rawhide as a Grounds Maintenance Worker, Construction Instructor, Facilities Manager, CATCH Foster Home Housefather, and Temporary House father for the Smith House.
Prior to coming to Rawhide, Brendan served as the Maintenance Manager for an apartment complex as well as a national hotel chain in Amarillo Texas. He also spent time as a Foreman on a construction crew that built custom homes and commercial buildings.

Kaleb Schad joined Rawhide in January 2021 as Strategic Planning Manager and is now Director of Strategy and Marketing. In this role, Kaleb helps Rawhide understand and shape its strategy and mission by collaborating with executives and managers to guide decision-making and analysis of long-range strategic plans, including new product and service innovations, and community partnerships. He also leads branding and marketing efforts for the organization.
Kaleb holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and English with minors in art and creative writing from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He also participated in InitiativeOne’s Leadership Transformation coursework, which teaches attendees to bring under-the-table issues up and clear them away so that everyone can make better, faster decisions and be accountable to larger ideals and each other. Kaleb is also currently enrolled in St. Norbert College’s Schneider School of Business MBA program.
Prior to joining Rawhide Youth Services, he worked at advertising and branding agencies, handling both B2C and B2B marketing and employer branding, for more than 14 years.

Mallory Schwan joined Rawhide in April 2023 as the Director of Development. In this role, she oversees a team of fundraising professionals responsible for annual campaigns, major and planned giving, special events, and donor relationships. She works closely with the marketing and leadership teams to guide the overall fundraising strategy and coaches the development team to achieve revenue and donor growth goals.
Mallory holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing and Publishing from Emerson College in Boston, where she also took graduate courses in creative writing and was a member of the Ploughshares Journal editorial staff. She is a graduate of Leadership Rapid City and served on several boards, primarily focused on the arts and culture community in her hometown of Rapid City, South Dakota.
Prior to joining Rawhide, Mallory held various roles in sales and marketing for Anheuser Busch in Chicago and Wisconsin. She has also worked in corporate communications and marketing, as well as experience in nonprofit development.

Danny Stone joined Rawhide in 1991 and currently serves as Director of Community. He oversees all community counseling services, group homes, and community job training programs.
Danny earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wheaton College and his Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a member of the Wisconsin Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Danny has held numerous roles in Youth Services at Rawhide over the last 28 years including Director of Youth Services, Social Work Supervisor, CATCH Foster Care Manager, Case Manager and Resident Youth Care Instructor. He has also participated on industry advisory councils, forums and task forces including Wisconsin’s Department of Children and Families Out-of- Home Continuum work group providing feedback and insight about how to approach the Wisconsin child welfare system and Wisconsin’s approach to the Family First Prevention Services Act.
